Big week for the owls that have flown away with 2nd Round Open Cup matches and league matches on the weekend. The Open Cup provided particularly happy hunting grounds with Evan Conway continuing his hot streak, Dami getting a goal (on a header (assisted by Sousa)) in his debut for Republic FC, and Jake Crull scoring his first professional goal on the same day as his brother Taylor scored his first professional goal. When asked when the last time Jake and his brother scored on the same day, he had a succinct answer: “never.” All but one player involved advanced and the average FotMob rating was 7.5. Wild stuff. (Also, will I use this date point when I continue to tell folks we could have made a super deep run in this tournament last year…yes.)
